"And it only took six days!"

Our favors are half-way done! Can you tell that I'm slightly excited. Here are a few photos (please excuse the messy kitchen) of the progress.

What's left after 44 peeled apples.

Only 10 hours into the process

Getting excited about canning!

The large contraption on the left is our new Steam Canner.

Having a Martha Stewart moment. Thanks Leslie for the apron.

The applebutter getting a steam bath.

The LAST can and it only took 6 days!

Inspired by my late grandmother, I associate apple butter with East Tennessee where my family is from and where this constant transplant considers home. It was easy to do and actually fun as well as educational. Now I know how to “can” for the future – watch out Farmer’s Market.

Whoo! Wedding Gift – Check!

I’m so, so excited about Lenny’s wedding gift and very thankful for the team of people who helped this frantic bride make it possible.

On other wedding news…I think we finally decided on a favor. Praise the Lord! My grandmother was known for her Apple butter Jam and I plan to recreate the recipe for our guest in little jam jars.

My thought is to have the Apple Butter and buttermilk biscuits at the wedding for people to take home as a midnight snack.

We also have our rings sized and back from the jewelers. Smithworks Jewelers did a wonderful job creating my ring. I can’t wait to wear it – only 82 days!

Favor Idea #4

I discovered a new cupcake shop in Spartanburg last week and I'm now looking into mini cupcakes as wedding favor. So now it’s between either the vintage candy, the eco-chic idea, petit fours and the cupcakes. Thoughts?

Favor Idea

After searching a few blogs last night, I came upon this great blog titled VintageGlam Weddings which is right up my alley.

If you’re into vintage or weddings…or both…then you should check it out.

I fell in love with this cute favor idea.
